Terms of Use
Last updated: August 18, 2026
1. Agreement and eligibility
These Terms govern your use of Kountdown. By using the service, you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy. If you use Kountdown for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organisation. Do not use the service if you cannot agree to these Terms.
2. The service
Kountdown lets you create local countdowns and, if you choose, sign in for cloud sync, sharing, and paid features. We may change, improve, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary. We will not take away rights you have already paid for except where necessary for security, law, or technical reasons.
3. Your content and sharing
You keep ownership of the content you create. You grant us the limited right to host, reproduce, and transmit it only to operate Kountdown and the features you select. You are responsible for your content, the accuracy of dates you set, and the people with whom you share a link.
Do not use Kountdown to publish unlawful, infringing, abusive, deceptive, or privacy-invasive content; interfere with the service; attempt to access another person's account or data; or use automated means that harm the service or other users.
You may report shared content and block another user through the available safety tools. We may review a report and, where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, or comply with law, remove a Kountdown or restrict access to it. Removal can make the Kountdown unavailable through the app, public page, and calendar feed.
Blocking is private: the block list does not disclose the other user's profile or account identity.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
Paid iPhone features are offered through Apple's In-App Purchase system. The price, billing period, included features, and any trial or introductory offer are shown before you confirm a purchase. Apple charges your Apple Account and handles billing, refunds, renewal, and cancellation under its terms.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account subscription settings. Restoring purchases is available in the app. A one-time Live Activities purchase is not a subscription and does not require an account.
5. Availability and support
We aim to keep Kountdown reliable, but it is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that every feature will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in every country or on every device. Kountdown is not a substitute for alarms, calendar reminders, safety systems, or professional deadline management.
6. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Kountdown at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, or address a material breach of these Terms. You can request deletion of your account as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. Subject to that, Kountdown is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from use of the service.
8. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by Austrian law, without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. If you have a question or concern, contact contact@kountdown.app. The operator's legal details are in the Imprint.
